Kimber is responsible for all editorial, sales and marketing for VMS Publishing’s AE and P&A. He also serves as co-show chair of the Agent Summit and helped launch the inaugural event in 2011. Prior to joining VMS, Kimber worked for multiple auto industry publications in the Bobit Business Media family as well as the F&I Conference and Expo. He has extensive experience in public speaking, writing and motivational speaking and will serve as master of ceremonies at this year’s Vehicle Service Contract Administrators Conference.

Gray is responsible for leading and expanding Experian Automotive’s North American sales organization, developing new channels and working closely with dealer clients. Prior to joining Experian in 2006, Gray served as a general manager at Siebel Systems and held management and business development positions with several leading information and telecommunications businesses. His keynote address will provide an analysis of the changing lending and retailing landscape in the post-recession economy.


Jim Pratt

Pratt has worked for Wright Express since 1998, a tenure that has included leadership positions in the company’s MasterCard Line of Business and CoBrand fleet program divisions. As head of Corporate Payment Solutions, his primary responsibility is to identify new opportunities and to build market share. Before joining Wright Express, Pratt worked as a consultant for 3Com and in various sales and management positions with Digital Equipment Corp.



Damon A. Wiener, Esq.

Wiener has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance and warranty industry and has served in various legal positions supporting both the underwriter and administrator sides of the F&I business. He began his career as an attorney in the enforcement division of Georgia’s Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner before joining Safe-Guard in 2007. Wiener now oversees the company’s legal and compliance department and is actively involved in several major trade associations.

As a high-profile attorney and dealer advocate, Benoit advises banks, sales finance companies, auto dealers, leasing companies, mortgage lenders and others on consumer financial services law. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Business Law, participates on the Consumer Financial Services and Cyberspace Law committees and serves as counsel to the Auto Finance Council and the Vehicle Finance Subcommittee, among others. In addition to serving as F&I and Showroom’s legal columnist, Benoit’s articles have appeared in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Journal and Mortgage Banker Magazine.


Peter Biscardi

Biscardi’s 30 years of experience in the automotivee industry runs the gamut from retail and wholesale to leasing and rental and fleet administration. His career in vehicle service contract administration began in 1982, when he formed P&L Enterprises, which led to a successful tenure with one of the nation’s largest administrators. Biscardi joined NAC in 1990 as executive vice president and assumed his current duties in 2003. He has contributed articles to F&I and Showroom and played a key role in several past F&I Conferences and VSCAC meetings.


Chris Blakely

A 15-year automotive industry veteran, Blakely leads one of the nation’s youngest and fastest-growing general agencies. He worked his way up the sales ranks in the retail segment before becoming a top account executive with Universal Underwriters Group. Blakely counts more than 50 dealerships among his clients and served as a panelist at the inaugural Agent Summit.


Lee Bowron

As a 20-year veteran of the insurance industry, including 11 years as a consultant, Bowron’s practice focuses on the extended warranty, F&I product, personal and commercial lines and environmental reserving segments. He is an active member of the Casualty Actuarial Society, chair of the R Working party and past member of the Examination Committee.

DeMarco has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, including 16 years within the automotive industry. He joined Ristken in 2006 and is now responsible for identifying new strategic growth initiatives, managing the sales team and cultivating key client relationships. DeMarco previously served as the executive director of retail sales for Power Information Network (PIN), an affiliate of J.D. Power and Associates, and his  auto industry background includes brand and regional manager roles for Nissan North America and Ford Motor Co.


Gary Fagg

As a consulting actuary at CreditRe, Fagg is an expert in the fields of actuarial, accounting, risk management, and risk transfer solutions related to vehicle protection products. His 40-year career has included the initial risk analysis for many of the F&I office products and the complimentary protection products. Through his work with CreditRe and that company’s well-attended annual conferences, Fagg has helped lead the evolution from insurance products to obligor contracts and from strict reinsurance contracts to the broader structure of risk transfer agreements.


 

Mary A. Gant

Gant joined Old Republic’s automobile warranty division in 2003. She had spent nearly 20 years in the insurance industry and currently manages Old Republic’s accounting, actuarial, administration and IT operations.


James S. Ganther

Ganther serves as both an attorney and compliance expert at Mosaic Compliance Services, a company founded by legal professionals to provide compliance services on behalf of retail dealerships. He is a member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel and has been honored as a member of F&I and Showroom’s “Who’s Who in F&I.” He is a highly sought-after speaker and co-authored the second edition of The FTC Safeguards Rule Compliance Kit.

David started in the Automobile Industry in 1974 as a F&I manager at Merrill Bean Chevrolet. After several very successful years in the F&I office, he became a general agent for World Service Life Insurance Company in 1979. In 1985, David founded Profit Concepts Inc. in Ogden, Utah.


Lori Hallissey

Protective Life Insurance Co.

An auto and insurance industry professional since the early 1980s, Hallissey founded a startup for TPA, a multistate agency, that was later acquired by Protective. Her more than 20-year tenure with the company has included work on multiple acquisitions and system conversions. Hallissey’s current duties include oversight of operations and administration of the APD offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and Canada.


Kumar Kathinokkula

Kathinkokkula is responsible for the development and management of F&I Admin’s  SCS Auto Platform, including the vehicle service contracts, GAP and prepaid maintenance support. He joined the company after a successful stint with DealerTrack, including work on that company’s Aftermarket Network. Kathinkokkula has more than 15 years of technology management experience has focused on the development of F&I solutions for the Microsoft platform, including consulting experience at Deloitte Consulting and CGI Group Inc.


Klay Kelso

Prior to joining The Plateau Group in 2007, Kelso worked as a sales manager, finance manager and general sales manager in the course of a 16-year career on the retail side. His current duties include leading sales and finance seminars as well as one-on-one sales training for nearly 50 auto dealerships and more than 300 banks and financial institutions.

Kerper’s consulting practice focuses on actuarial services for companies that insure or administer vehicle service contracts and related products such as GAP, tire and wheel, PPM and theft protection. He has served as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a longtime member of the Academy of Actuaries. Kerper is a highly sought-after speaker on the topic of extended warranty liabilities and has written several analytical studies on the subject.

Kuhl also has worked in the rental, retail and finance segements, is a frequent speaker, prolific author and sought-after news source.

David Mathews

The son of a Buick dealer, Mathews’ own career in automotive retail has included stints as an F&I director and dealer principal. He co-founded United Car Care in 1984 after serving in the Vietnam War and earning a degree in marketing. An experienced speaker, Mathews has lent his experience to numerous conferences and association meetings, including the inaugural Agent Summit.


James (Jim) A. Maxim Jr.

Maxim oversees MaximTrak’s operations and strategic direction and is involved with the lifecycle development of each of the company’s products. He previously served as COO of the Maxim Group of Companies, where he managed the firm’s real estate investment division as well as consulting services and training programs for automotive dealers. Prior to joining the family business, Maxim served in executive positions at General Electric and Lucent Technologies.

Price has nearly two decades’ worth of experience directly related to training, distributing and marketing automotive aftermarket products. Price also serves president of NAE’s sister company, National Warranty Administration Network, which specializes in administering client-customized service contracts, ancillary products and warranties.


Brian Reed

Reed’s 25-year career in the automotive industry includes senior executive roles at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Debis Financial Services, PeopleFirst.com, and Capital One Auto Finance. He was instrumental in the development of the F&I Express e-contracting solution and continues to direct Intersection Technologies’ consulting and custom IT development services for aftermarket administrators and auto finance companies. Reed was the founding CEO of Pricelock.com and has been honored as a “Pioneer of the Internet in the Automotive Industry” by J.D. Powers & Associates.


David P. Trinder

Trinder oversaw the development of the SCS Auto vehicle service contract administration program while serving as senior vice president of network solutions at DealerTrack. With that company’s blessing, he relaunched SCS Auto as F&I Admin’s flagship solution. Prior to joining DealerTrack, Trinder was CEO of DealerAccess Canada Inc. He also built and operated two businesses, including a venture capital fund focused on technology investments, in his native South Africa.

Steve Veldkamp

A career income development specialist with more than 20 years of experience, Veldkamp works with more than 700 dealer clients across the United States. His prior experience includes automotive sales, sales management and F&I. Veldkamp served as a panelist at the inaugural Agent Summit, representing the position of general agents in a debate over the effectiveness and adoption of e-contracting technology.


Peter Velau

With 25-plus years of automotive F&I and sales experience, Velau was AutoNation’s national finance training manager before joining SouthWest Dealer Services as a partner in 1999. As the head of their F&I and sales training division, he is responsible for development and implementation of all F&I and variable operations training solutions for SWDS’s dealer clients, as well as F&I software development and implementation.


Mark Virag

As director of the PEN division of Open Dealer Exchange LLC, Virag is responsible for the network’s strategy, sales, marketing and technology. Prior to joining ODE, he held senior-level technology positions at BMW Finance, AutoNation Finance and MenuVantage. Virag authored the now-industry standard Credit Application Format, developed BMW InfoBahn and AutoNation Express, and lent his expertise to the DealerTrack and RouteOne systems.
